We are currently seeking a Plant Manager for our facility located in Bedford Park, IL, 60638. As the Plant Manager, you will beprimarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility to ensure that the operations, maintenance, and manufacturing management standards of contracts are met in a cost effective, safe, and efficient manner by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Keeps facility and equipment operational at all times.
Supervises and schedules facility staff.
Controls costs of consumable items, coordinate with Purchasing.
Manages and monitors fiscal budget, operations to produce both short term and long-term profitability.
Manages the delivery and measurement of production.
Reviews, plans, and coordinates all job assignments, sets work priorities, makes cost-effective assignment decisions, and ensures the completion of projects in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
Oversees preventative maintenance schedules.
Ensures adequate staffing.
Makes facility cost saving recommendations when appropriate.
Manages and supervises facility personnel including hiring, promotions, recognition, discipline, and performance management.
Plans, directs, and monitors the performance objectives of operations and maintenance personnel.
Establishes process performance metrics; tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance in terms of quality, safety, and delivery.
Takes corrective action as required.
Resolves problems and/or conflicts.
Recommends solutions to management on corrective action for major or complex maintenance issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages 20-30 employees in the Facility. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university a plus; or five to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Manufacturing ERP Software, Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Order Processing Systems, Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud industrial noise levels.
HOURS:
Monday thru Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm
Friday’s 7:00am to 4:00pm
**Salary Range:**90K - 120K
